Yostin Andres Mosquera stands accused of killing and dismembering two men, hiding their remains in luggage

A chilling murder trial unfolding at the Old Bailey has stunned the nation, as pornography actor Yostin Andres Mosquera stands accused of the gruesome killing and dismemberment of two men in their West London home. The details emerging from the courtroom have been described as harrowing, with prosecutors alleging that the defendant carried out the murders with disturbing premeditation and brutality.

Mosquera, 30, is charged with the murder of Albert Alfonso, 62, a swimming instructor, and his partner, Paul Longworth. The alleged killings occurred in July, during what the prosecution described as a night of extreme and ultimately deadly sexual violence.

According to evidence presented in court, Mosquera and Alfonso had arranged to meet for what was initially a consensual encounter. But events took a horrifying turn when Mosquera, reportedly enraged by elements of the session, slashed Alfonso’s throat. The court was shown graphic, blood-stained footage of the encounter, which prosecutors claim started consensually before descending into a deadly attack.

After killing Alfonso, Mosquera is accused of turning on Longworth. He then allegedly dismembered both bodies using tools found in the house, attempting to conceal the remains in a chest freezer. In a grotesque twist, some body parts were then stuffed into suitcases and transported across the country to Bristol.

The suitcases were discovered in macabre fashion—thanks to the sharp eye of a concerned passerby near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, who alerted the police. That tip sparked a chain of events that ultimately led to Mosquera’s arrest and the murder charges that now place him at the centre of a case described by prosecutors as one of the most grotesque double homicides in recent memory.

In a dramatic courtroom reveal, jurors were told that Mosquera had conducted online searches related to murder and body disposal methods prior to the killings. The prosecution painted a picture of a man who had plotted his crimes with disturbing calculation.

The trial has seen emotional scenes from grieving relatives and supporters of the victims. Members of both men’s families filled the courtroom gallery, listening as the prosecution described the nightmarish events that led to the deaths of their loved ones.

The judge reminded jurors to approach the trial with care, stressing the need to weigh the evidence with objectivity despite the horrifying nature of the accusations. He acknowledged the deep emotional toll the trial may take on those following the proceedings, especially the families of the deceased.

Albert Alfonso was known in his community as a gentle and disciplined swimming coach, while Paul Longworth was remembered by friends as a quiet, kind-hearted man. Their sudden and violent deaths have shaken the local area and sparked broader conversations about online hookups, consent, and the dark intersections of sex and violence.

Mosquera denies the charges. The trial continues, with prosecutors expected to call forensic experts and investigators who pieced together the movements of the suspect in the days leading up to and following the killings.

As the country watches the case unfold, the grief of two families remains palpable—and the demand for justice, unrelenting.
