Police launch urgent witness appeal after a man is stabbed in a brutal daylight attack in Addlestone

A peaceful afternoon in Addlestone was shattered when a violent knife attack erupted at Carlos Barber Shop on Garfield Road. In broad daylight, just before 3.30pm, a man in his 30s was stabbed, sparking a large-scale emergency response and leaving the community in shock.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, is currently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. Police acted swiftly, arresting a 22-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody as investigations continue.

Witnesses described the attacker as a White male in his early twenties, wearing a black puffed jacket, tracksuit bottoms, and Nike trainers — a description now central to the police inquiry. Officers are combing through CCTV footage and speaking to locals as they try to reconstruct the moments leading up to the violent assault.
