Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz were stunned as Romeo and Cruz blocked them after a birthday post to Harper
The Beckham family rift has exploded into full-blown digital warfare — and this time, it’s personal. Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz were reportedly left “blindsided” after discovering that his younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz, had blocked them on social media.
The twist comes just 24 hours after Brooklyn posted a public birthday tribute to his sister Harper, fuelling speculation of a reconciliation. But sources close to the couple, currently holidaying with Nicola’s family, insist the move wasn’t a calculated olive branch — and they had no idea the unfollows had even happened until headlines appeared.
“Brooklyn didn’t block anyone. He only realised what had happened when he saw it being reported,” said one insider. “They didn’t see this coming. It’s as confusing to them as it is to the public.”
In a pointed move, Romeo, 22, posted Justin Bieber’s track ‘Walking Away’ on his Instagram Stories, captioned with a sharp “Yup,” just after unfollowing Brooklyn. The timing felt deliberate, and fans immediately interpreted it as a direct shot at his older brother.
The drama follows months of rumoured tension between Brooklyn and the Beckham clan, ignited by disagreements over wedding details, financial expectations, and relationships. Sources allege that a central issue remains Nicola’s rocky relationship with Victoria Beckham — tensions dating back to 2022 when Nicola wore a Valentino gown rather than one designed by her mother-in-law.
Fuel was added to the fire when reports surfaced this year claiming Nicola and Brooklyn believed the Beckhams were “tight” with money and offered little help with their $10.5 million U.S. mansion. David and Victoria, insiders say, were “hurt” by the accusations and dismissed them as nonsense.

They were absent from David’s lavish 50th birthday in May, despite being invited. Sources suggest Brooklyn didn’t want to attend due to Romeo’s ex, Kim Turnbull — who he reportedly once dated — being on the guest list.
Public barbs have followed. In June, Cruz, 20, clapped back at a fan mocking his music career, saying “Wrong brother mate” — widely seen as a dig at Brooklyn. Romeo posted a cryptic message weeks later: “Life is too short… the people that truly love you will always be there.”
Nicola and Brooklyn maintain they adore Harper and remain close to her. “This isn’t about fixing anything with David or Victoria,” said a friend. “Brooklyn idolises Harper — he always has. That birthday post was for her, not them.”
Still, the post raised eyebrows. Brooklyn tagged Nicola in it, but Harper doesn’t have social media, and there’s no confirmation he reached out privately. Some saw it as symbolic — a peace offering. If it was, it clearly failed.
Now, with Romeo and Cruz cutting digital ties, the feud has escalated. Nicola, too, has unfollowed the brothers. The once-pictured-perfect Beckham family now presents two very separate realities — one with Brooklyn and Nicola sailing through life on yachts and red carpets, the other still anchored at Beckham family HQ.
One friend put it bluntly: “There’s too much water under the bridge. At this point, it’s not just cold — it’s frozen.”
