As Trump urges diplomacy, Israeli MP Ohad Tal demands Iran’s ‘evil, Jihadist regime’ be toppled to save the world.
Tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate as US President Donald Trump calls for the two sides to strike a peace deal — but Israeli officials flatly reject the idea, branding Iran’s leadership as an “evil, jihadist regime” that must be destroyed.
Speaking to Fox News Digital on Sunday, Israeli Member of Knesset Ohad Tal, who sits on the foreign affairs and defence committees, dismissed Trump’s push for negotiations as “outrageous.” He insisted any deal with Tehran would only allow the regime to rearm and revive its nuclear ambitions.
“We are now engaging in a war with Iran, a war which I believe is historic,” Tal said from outside Jerusalem. “We will liberate, not just ourselves, not just the Iranian people, but the entire world from the threat of the evil Iranian regime.”
Earlier that day, Trump had taken to TRUTH Social to urge both nations to return to the negotiating table. Boasting of his previous diplomatic successes, including resolving tensions between India and Pakistan through US trade leverage, Trump claimed, “Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal.”

Tal argued that regime change is the only viable solution to end Iran’s nuclear ambitions. “If you really want to stop Iran acquiring a nuclear weapon, the only way is to take down this regime. Negotiating deals with a jihadist terror-supporting regime is outrageous.”
He added: “We should all have one goal: take down this evil regime. That’s how we build a future of stability and prosperity for the region and the world.”
Since Thursday, Israel and Iran have exchanged strikes for the third consecutive day. The Israel Defense Forces launched a sweeping preemptive assault targeting Iranian nuclear sites, key infrastructure, and senior leadership positions. According to Tal, these strikes have crippled Iran’s capabilities, with the IDF effectively taking control of Iranian airspace.
While Israeli strikes focus on military and nuclear targets, Tal accused Iran of targeting civilian populations with its retaliatory missile attacks. “That’s a culture that glorifies death and doesn’t care about civilian casualties. We’re a culture that sanctifies life,” he said.
Despite Trump’s public call for diplomacy, Tal claims the president’s administration is fully backing Israel’s ongoing military action. “We’re getting the support from the Trump administration 100 percent,” he said. “Fighting this evil regime helps prevent a much bigger war — that’s an America First policy.”
Tal revealed that Arab and Muslim leaders from across the Middle East have privately expressed support for Israel’s campaign. “They’ve told me, ‘You’re not just saving yourself, you’re saving us as well.’ Iran and the Ayatollahs are not just a threat to Israel; they are a threat to the entire world.”
Behind the scenes, tensions remain high in Washington. A US official told Fox News that Trump vetoed an Israeli proposal to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, fearing it would dangerously escalate regional instability.
Yet Tal maintains that the West must face reality. “We must take down this evil, jihadistic regime not just to save the region, but the entire world.”
As Israeli air defences intercept waves of Iranian missiles, the world watches anxiously, caught between Trump’s calls for negotiation and Israel’s demands for total regime collapse.
