Prince Harry ‘went ballistic’ over Eugenie’s pub photo with Meghan critic Piers Morgan

Harry allegedly cut ties with cousin Eugenie after she was spotted hugging Piers Morgan in London.

In a dramatic twist worthy of a royal soap opera, British commentator Piers Morgan claimed that Prince Harry “went completely ballistic” after seeing Princess Eugenie hugging him during a casual night out at a London pub.

Morgan, a notorious critic of Meghan Markle, detailed the incident during an episode of his Uncensored talk show. Speaking with Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan, he claimed that Harry’s anger stemmed directly from Eugenie’s apparent closeness with someone who’s made no secret of his disdain for the Duchess of Sussex.

“Well, that was because of me actually—the Eugenie thing,” Morgan said. “Because she was with me and a group of other people in a pub in London. I was seen hugging them goodbye, and Harry saw this and went completely ballistic.”

He then added, “And I can confirm—breaking news—that this is entirely true.”

The claim quickly lit up headlines and royal gossip columns, sparking rumours of a severe falling-out between the Duke of Sussex and his once-loyal cousin.

Callahan fuelled the speculation further, stating during their chat that Prince Harry “has zero relationship with his friends and his family” and had allegedly “cut off his relationship with Eugenie.”

While the photo itself didn’t show anything more than a polite farewell hug, its symbolism was enough to enrage Harry—especially given Morgan’s high-profile feud with Meghan Markle, including his dramatic exit from Good Morning Britain after criticising the Duchess.

The idea that Eugenie, who has publicly supported Harry and Meghan since their departure from royal duties, would appear in a friendly setting with one of Meghan’s loudest critics reportedly didn’t sit well with the prince.

However, a new source has now come forward in an attempt to put the fire out. Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, the insider insisted there’s no bad blood between the cousins.

“The Duke remains close to Princess Eugenie. They always have and always will be,” the source claimed, directly contradicting the reports of a rift.

It’s unclear whether the statement is a genuine reflection of their current relationship or a carefully worded attempt to minimise media scrutiny. Still, the damage from Morgan’s revelation seems hard to ignore.

Harry and Eugenie have long been seen as the closest among the younger generation of royals. Eugenie was one of the first to visit Harry in California after his departure from royal duties, and she famously appeared with him during the Super Bowl in Los Angeles. Their bond stood firm even as other royal ties fractured.

That’s why rumours of a breakdown in their relationship hit especially hard for fans of the exiled Duke.

The palace has made no official statement, and neither Harry nor Eugenie have publicly addressed Morgan’s claim. But with the talk show host confirming the story with signature bravado, it’s added yet another layer to the ongoing saga of the House of Windsor.

Whether the cousins have truly fallen out or are merely victims of royal gossip remains uncertain. One thing is clear—when Piers Morgan is involved, controversy is never far behind.
